In 1970 it came to be known as the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum.

The armory gallery houses an extensive collection of weapons that were used during war.
You can see the swords of Mughal emperors ? Shahjahan and Jahangir. Camel guns of Jugarba, ?Khanda? or sword belonging to Raja Man Singh I, lances, daggers, matchlock guns of the 17th century along with bows and arrows are the collection of weapons that you can view here.
The Baggi Khana houses a collection of coaches and chariots. You can even see the chariots, used for transporting the idols of gods and goddesses. A 19th century European cab is one of the collectibles of this gallery. This unique coach had been designed according to the Indian climate. This gallery also houses two huge silver urns, that was used by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II to carry the holy water of Ganges when he traveled to England. These urns have been recorded as the largest silver object in the world according to the ?Guiness Book of World Records?.
The textile gallery houses the royal garments worn by the rulers and the queens. The art gallery has a collection of paintings and handicrafts of India. 17th century carpets, manuscripts and photographic instruments and snaps of 19th century can be viewed here.
